Hypnotherapy is a two way process between the therapist and the client/patient, a professional partnership. A person cannot be hypnotized unless he or she agrees  - this cannot be stressed enough. Also while hypnotized, nobody can make you do or say anything that you do not want to do. It must be emphasized that what hypnotherapists do is, by definition, therapeutic.
